About Cinemagic Drive-in Theater
The Cinemagic Drive-in was a is a family owned single screen drive-in located in Athens, GA. The drive-in was opened in 1997, but they also had an indoor theaters as part of the complex as well. So whether you are in the mood for a drive-in movie, or an indoor movie, the Cinemagic Theaters had everything you need. And on an interesting note, the drive-in was powered entirely by solar power. In October of 2021, the owner of the Cinemagic Drive-in announced it is for sale. The asking price was $1.75 Million and included the drive-in as well as the indoor movie theater which included 5 screens. In July of 2022, the owner announced the Cinemagic Drive-in had been sold. A church group bought the drive-in and were closing the drive-in and indoor theater. They plan to use the indoor theater for their church. So appears this drive-in is closed for good. The last showing at the Cinemagic drive-in was Saturday, July 30, 2022.
