About Reynolds Drive-in

The Reynolds Drive-in is a single screen drive-in theater located in Transfer, PA which is in the northwest past of the state close to the Ohio border. It was originally opened way back in 1947 and operated until it permanently closed in 2014 as the owners could not afford to make the switch from film to digital projection. HOWEVER, the screen and building remained and were never torn down. In early 2020, new owners took over the property and began to refurbish and re-open the Reynolds Drive-in. They refurbished the screen and buildings but in the fall of 2020, a windstorm destroyed the screen which had stood since 1947. But the owners built a new 44' x 88' screen and are now showing movies with state of the art digital projection. Movie audio is provided by 90.5 FM Radio. The Reynolds Drive-in also host a variety of events such as concerts, comedy shows, flea markets and other events. After over a year of hard work, the Reynolds Drive-in was finally able to re-open the on October 1, 2021. Current admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and kids 3 and under are free. Outside food is allowed with the purchase of a $10 food permit.
