About The Drive-in at Balloon Fiesta Park
The Drive-in at Balloon Fiesta Park was a single screen drive-in movie theater located in Albuquerque, NM. It was opened in July of 2020 at the height of Covid-19 restrictions which had closed indoor theaters as well as other entertainment venues. The drive-in was opened to give residents a safe, socially distanced movie going option. The Drive-in at Balloon Fiesta Park was open year round and showed both first run movies as well as classics. They had a state of the art digital projector, large screen and different food trucks that visit on different weekends. You could buy tickets online from their website before you went. Their prices were by the carload and vary depending on how close your spot is to the screen. It was $25 for General Admission which were the last rows of the drive-in, $40 for Prime Viewing spots which were in the middle of the lot and $60 per car for VIP viewing which were in the first few rows of the drive-in. The Drive-in at Balloon Fiesta Parks had food trucks but they also allowed you to bring your own food and drink, but they did not allow alcohol. Pets were also prohibited. However, the Drive-in at Balloon Fiesta Park closed in August of 2021 as the Covid-19 pandemic waned and attendance at the drive-in fell.
