About The Park and View
The Park and View is a single screen drive-in movie theater located in Tijeras, New Mexico. the drive-in was constructed and is operated by the city of Tijeras. It was opened in February of 2021 in response to Covid-19 restrictions which had closed indoor theaters and most other entertainment options. The city wanted to provide an entertainment venue for its citizens that could be outside, socially distanced and safe. Currently, the Park and View Drive-in shows movies four times per month. Tickets are $10 per carload and must be ordered online in advance of going to the drive-in. Even though tickets must be reserved online, they must be paid for in cash at the theater upon arrival. The local power company donated used utility poles which were used to construct the large screen.
