About Saco Drive-in
The Saco Drive-in is Maine's oldest drive-in (opened in 1939!) and the second oldest of America's still operating drive-ins. In 2022, it temporarily closed and was sold by the Roberge family to the Aqua Boggan Waterpark who re-opend the drive-in (Yeah!!). The Roberge family said it was difficult to keep the drive-in operating during Covid because of capacity restrictions, a shortage of new releases and staffing shortages. The Saco Drive-in is a single screen drive-in that is located in Saco, Maine which is just outside of Portland, Main. The Saco Drive-in has a capacity for 500 cars making it a fairly large drive-in.
