About Mendon Twin Drive-in

The Mendon Drive-in opened in 1954 with a single screen and was one of 58 drive-in theaters operating in Massachusetts at the time. In 1987 it got new owners who polished this gem up greatly. It is one of the best examples of enshrining the drive-in as a cultural icon. The Mendon Drive-in added a second screen in 1998 and has parking for up to 800 cars. They are also all digital. This is one of those drive-ins that is better seen than described so please check it out if you have the chance. It is located about 40 miles outside of Boston. They are open seasonally from April thru September. They are one of the only drive-ins that actually serve alcohol as they serve beer and wine from their beer garden.
