About Transit Drive-in

The Transit Drive-in is a large, 5 screen drive-in theater located in Lockport, New York which is about 30 miles northeast of Buffalo, NY and about 20 miles east of Niagara Falls, New York. It is one of the largest drive-in theaters in New York and can hold about 1500 cars. Continually improved and expanded over the years (including the addition of a 19-hole miniature golf course for the amusement of early arrivals), the Transit was up until recently operated by the grandson of the founders of this theater dynasty. However, in April of 2022, the owner of the Transit Drive-in (who had run the drive-in for 35 years) sold it to Dipson Theatres which is a family owned theater chain with theaters in New York and Pennsylvania. The Transit Drive-in's five screens are lit with double-features, seasonally, April thru November, on weekends only in Spring & Fall, and 7 nights a week during the peak summer months. Movie audio is provided with localized FM radio broadcasts. Admission: $12 for Adults (ages 12&up); $8 for Children (ages 5-11); with children aged 4 and under admitted free. Pets are allowed as long as they are leashed and well behaved.
