About Motorama at the Downs Santa Fe
**** UPDATE AS OF SPRING 2022. The Motorama at the Downs Santa Fe did not open in 2022 and there has been no communication on their Facebook page or website about re-opening. We are therefore moving this drive-in to the "Closed' status. If they re-open, we will update this page. **** The Motorama at the Downs Santa Fe is a single screen drive-in theater located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The drive-in is located on the former grounds of the Downs Santa Fe racetrack which closed back in 1997 and is currently and events and concert venue. The drive-in was opened in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic when restrictions closed many businesses including indoor theaters. The drive-in operated in 2020 until Mid November when they were forced to close, as were other businesses, due to increased Covid-19 business restrictions. The Motorama at the Down Santa Fe plans to be a permanent drive-in and plans to re-open in 2021 in the spring. Currently, admission prices are $30 per carload and tickets must be purchased online before arriving and cannot be purchased at the theater's location. The Motorama at the Downs Santa Fe is a great addition as before its opening, New Mexico only had one other permanent drive-in theater.
