About Leicester Triple Drive-in

**** Update: The Leicester Drive-in announced in the Spring of 2021 that they would not open for the 2021 season due to the effects Covid-19 has had on their family. They said they planned to re-open in the Spring of 2022. However, as of July 2022, the Leicester Drive-in has still not re-opened and made no further announcements on their Facebook page or website about their future. So we are moving this drive-in to the "Closed" status. We will update this page if the Leicester Drive-in re-opens or announces plans to do so. **** The Leicester Drive-in is a three screen drive-in movie theater located in Leicester, MA. Originally opened as a single screen drive-in back in 1967, the Leicester added a second screen in 1995 and then added its third screen in 2004. It appears that when films converted from 35mm film to digital, that the Leicester Drive-in only purchased one digital projector and is currently only showing films on one of their three screens. As late as 2018, the Leicester Drive-in was showing films on all three screens with two of the screens showing 35mm film. But that does not appear to be the case now. They are open seasonally April through August. They only accept cash so leave the credit cards at home. And be sure to check out their famous Claim Cakes from the concession stand. That is certainly not a treat found at any other drive-ins. Movie Audio is broadcast on 107.7 FM.
