About Remarkable Theater
The Remarkable Theater is a single screen drive-in movie theater located in Westport, Connecticut which is in the southern part of the state on the coast. It opened in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. The Remarkable Theater is unique in that it is located in a city owned parking lot and is run by a non-profit. The Westport Cinema Initiative started the Remarkable Theater during Covid restrictions to give the community a way to safely get together. The Remarkable Theater hires and employs residents with disabilities to work there. The drive-in also partners with many other local charities and non-profits to raise money for them as well. Current admission is $50 per car or $25 per car for students. The Remarkable Theater is open from April through October. Movie Audio is broadcast on 90.9 FM.
