About Star-Lite Drive-in Theater
The Star-Lite Drive-in Theater was opened way back in 1949 when drive-in theaters were really starting to take off in the United States. It was a one screen drive-in theater that stayed open year round. It had a massive screen built solidly of masonry which was not uncommon during that time period. Unfortunately, like many drive-ins, it closed in 1996 when the land was sold for a commercial development. A strip mall now sits where the Star-Lite Drive-in once entertained families for more than 46 years.
