About Warner Drive-in Cultural and Resource Center
Warner's drive-in was opened in 1953 and operated until closing in 2014 due to the inability of being able to afford the cost to go digital. However, 2 years later in 2016, the drive-in was re-opened by a non-profit and renamed the Warner Drive-in Cultural and Resource Center. They then raised the additional funds to purchase a digital projector to keep the drive-in running for years to come. We know of two other drive-ins that were closed and opened again by community non-profits. Maybe this is the wave of the future to save many endangered drive-ins. The Warner Drive-in is located in Franklin, WV and is generally open May through October showing movies on the weekends only.
