About Pipestem Drive-in
The Pipestem Drive-in is a single screen drive-in movie theater located in Athens, West Virginia which is located in the southern part of the state not far from the Virginia border. The Pipestem Drive-in is the youngest of West Virginia's remaining drive-ins as it was opened in 1972. It operates weekends only, May thru October. Currently, admission is $7 for adults and $4 for kids on Friday and Saturday nights with prices changing to $14 per carload on Sundays. The Pipestem drive-in only accepts cash at both the box office and concession booth. The Pipestem Drive-in broadcasts the movie over FM Radio but they still have some of the traditional drive-in movie speakers as well. They do allow pets as long as they are leashed and well behaved.
