About Drive 'N Theatre
Formerly known as the Fairview Drive-in, the Drive 'N Theatre is the most rural of Illinois' remaining outdoor cinemas. The Drive 'N Theatre is located in southern Illinois about 200 miles south of Chicago and 60 miles south of Terre Haute, IN. This single screen drive-in opened in 1953 as the Fairview Drive-in and was purchased in 2014 by its current owner who gave the drive-in many updates including digital projection and a new concession building. The now named Drive 'N Theatre operates seasonally from April thru September and is inexpensive at $7 for adults, $4 for kids and free admission for children three and under. They also operate more like the traditional drive-ins of the past whereas they only accept cash. They also allow outside food and alcohol (which many drive-ins now prohibit). The Drive 'N Theatre allows you to bring your pets as long as they are leashed and well behaved. So if you get the chance, we highly recommend you visit the Drive 'N Theatre, aka the Fairview Drive-in, for a classic drive-in experience.
