About Superior 71 Drive-in
The Superior 71 Drive-in is a relatively new drive-in. It was constructed in 2008 on a former farm field by Gaylord and Pam Kemp (who still own and operate the drive-in today) and originally opened as a single screen drive-in. While they constructed the drive-in from the ground up, the large 55' x 90' screen was actually purchased from a prior drive-in that had been opened in 1979 but closed. The screen was moved to its current location at the Superior 71 Drive-in. Then in July of 2019, they added a second screen making the Superior 71 Drive-in a twin screen drive-in theater. They show double features on the weekends until summer when they transition to being open 7 nights a week. They do not allow outside food at the Superior Drive-in with the purchase of a $5 food permit.
