About Star Drive-in
The Star Drive-in is a twin screen drive-in movie theater located in Monte Vista, Colorado. The Star Drive-in is open seasonally from March through October. Tickets prices are currently $10 for adults and $5 for children from 4 years - 9 years with those 3 and under being free. The Star Drive-in was opened originally as a solo screen theater in 1955. In 2003, another screen was added. This drive-in is unique in that a small Best Western Hotel was built on the property (website link above). The hotel is called the Best Western Movie Manor and they advertise that you can stay there, open your curtains and watch the movies from the comfort of your own room. Pets are allowed as long as they are leashed, cleaned up after and well behaved. Movie audio is broadcast over FM Radio. Currently, the Star Drive-in is cash only so leave the credit cards at home and bring cash for the box office and concession area.
