About Frontier Drive-In

The Frontier Drive-in is a single screen drive-in movie theater located in Center, Colorado. It was opened in 1955 and operated until it was permanently closed in 1985. However, in 2021, new owners/developers announced their plans to re-open the Frontier Drive-in. As of April 2022, the Frontier has not re-opened but the owners have had the original neon marquee sign re-furbished and been restoring the site. They have also built yurts and cabins on site so visitors can spend the night there. They expect to open in the summer of 2022. Since it is not yet open, we have the Frontier Drive-in listed as 'Proposed' drive-in but we are following their progress and will update this page as soon as there are more developments.
