About Continental Drive-in
The VIP Star-Lite Drive-in is a large, four screen drive-in located in Dothan, AL. It originally opened in 2005 as the Continental Drive-in and was operated by Continental Cinemas. However, on January 1st, 2020, the owners of the Continental Drive-in announced they were permanently closing the drive-in. No reason was given. It had been for sale before they announced its closure. But it May of 2020, it was announced the Continental Drive-in was purchased by VIP Cinemas which is a family owned theater company and would be re-opening at the end of June. When it re-opened, it re-opened as the VIP Star-Lite Drive-in by which it is known now. The VIP Star-Lite Drive-in is open year round and can hold 800 cars. Admission is currently $7.48 for adults and $3.20 for kids. Pets are not allowed.
