About 1000 Islands Drive-in
The 1000 Islands Drive-in is a single screen drive-in movie theater located in Gananoque, Ontario, Canada which is located on the St. Lawrence River and Eastern Lake Ontario areas. The 1000 Islands Drive-in was born out of the Covid-19 pandemic. The owners of an indoor cinema called the Silver Cinema built the drive-in the Spring of 2021 as cinemas were closed. They started with an inflatable screen but then built a permanent screen on the premise of their indoor cinema. The 1000 Islands Drive-in shares the restrooms and concessions with the indoor cinema. And for this reason, the 1000 Islands Drive-in operates year round if there are good movies to show. Current admission is $15 for adults and $7 for children. Pets are allowed as long as they are leashed and well behaved. They also have Laser Tag at this location and some families will arrive early to play Laser Tag before the shows.
