About Midland Drive-in Theater
The Midland Drive-in was a single screen drive-in movie theater that was opened back in 1953. It was located in Midland, Ontario, Canada. The Midland showed movies in 2019 and at the end of the season, they thanked their patrons and said they could not wait to be back open in the Spring of 2020. However, in the Spring of 2020, The owners of the The Midland Drive-in announced on their Facebook page that they would not re-open in 2020 and that they were closing the drive-in permanently. The owners said there were too many repairs needed to the drive-in and buildings coupled with the fact they were not able to get new movies on their release dates but had to wait weeks to show them. Currently, we are not aware of any plans to try to sell the drive-in intact so we are listing it as permanently closed.
