About Raleigh Road Outdoor Theater
Originally opened in 1949 as "The Moon-Glo Drive-in", the now named Raleigh Road Outdoor Theater is the oldest operating drive-in in North Carolina. The Raleigh Road Outdoor Theater is located in Henderson, North Carolina and has a single screen with a 265 car capacity. They allow dogs as long as they are well behaved and leashed at all times. They broadcast the movie audio via FM radio and even rent small portable radios if one is needed. Please be advised that outside food and drink are not allowed to be brought into the drive-in but their concession stand has plenty of good food for purchase. You can buy your tickets either at the box office or online from their website. The Raleigh Road Outdoor Theater is currently open year round, rain or shine. One interesting note is that they offer free admission for drivers who arrive at the drive-in in "classic" cars.
