About Galva AutoVue Drive-in
The Galva AutoVue Drive-in was Illinois' newest drive-in and one of the newest in the country. It was opened in 2005, built from the ground up in an existing cornfield. They were open seasonally Spring thru Fall. However, after they closed for the 2015 season, they announced that they would not re-open until they secured funding to purchase a digital projector. As of 2019, they are still maintaining the grounds of the drive-in but they have not re-opened since closing in 2015. Their Facebook page indicates they are still attempting to locate and purchase a used digital projector and if they can, they would still like to re-open the drive-in. However, at this time, we are listed them as permanently closed since they have not operating in over 3 years. Hopefully they will be able to re-open at some point at which time we will add them back to our list of Open drive-ins.
