About Swap Shop Drive-in Lake Worth
The Lake Worth Drive-in and Swap Shop was a two screen drive-in movie theater and swap shop located in Lake Worth, Florida. It was the last remaining drive-in theater in Palm Beach County (originally opened as the Trail Drive-in). The Lake Worth Drive-in and Swap Shop opened in 1967 as a solo screen playing to more than 400 cars. A second screen was added at some point. The theater also runs a large swap meet on the weekends. It was part of the Swap Shop drive-in chain of Florida which owns and operates 3 different drive-ins in Florida. They were open every night of the year including holidays. However, in December of 2021, the Lake Worth Drive-in and Swap Shop announced on their Facebook page that they were not scheduling any more movies until further notice. They have been no further announcements about the future of the drive-in since then. So we are moving this drive-in to the "Closed" status. If it re-opens in the future, we will update this page.
