About Azusa Foothill Drive-in
The lovely Azusa, first opened in 1955, was the largest of California's solo screen drive-ins at 1510 cars. It was one of two drive-ins which remained in operation in L.A. County into the new millennium (2000's). The future of this handsome and unique classic and its 17 acre site however were sealed with the sale of the property to Azusa Pacific University for the college's expansion. The value of the land was appraised at over $6M. The Azusa Foothill Drive-in was permanently closed in 2001.We have no photos of Azusa Foothill Drive-in.
