About Town and Country Drive-in
When the Town and Country Drive-in opened with Guys and Dolls in 1956, it was reported that $250,000 had been spent on its construction and it was promoted as the largest drive-in in Texas. But it was closed in 1981. It remained closed for almost 20 years but then was purchased by new owners who reopened it in 2000. They are still going strong and the drive-in is now opened year round.
