About Tennessee Safari Drive-In Theater
The Tennessee Safari Drive-in Theater is a single screen drive-in located in Alamo, Tennessee which is in the western part of the state. The Tennessee Safari Drive-in Theater is actually located on the grounds of the Tennessee Safari Park which is a large, drive-through zoo and petting zoo. When the 2020 Covid pandemic hit, the zoo saw record crowds because its outdoor activities were a great activity when most indoor recreational facilities were closed. The zoo took advantage of this trend and developed the Tennessee Safari Drive-in Theater which opened on March 26, 2021. The drive-in can hold about 150 cars. Tickets can only be purchased at the box office so it is first come, first served. Currently, admission is $12 for adults and $10 for kids. The Tennessee Safari Drive-in Theater shows both first run and classic movies generally showing just one movie on weekends only.
