About Wellfleet Drive-in
The Wellfleet Drive-in is the last drive-in that remains on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It is something of a shrine preserving a little bit of everything that those old enough to remember the classic drive-ins know. It is a great venue for initiating anyone that hasn't experienced a drive-in in the past. The massive 100' wide screen at the Wellfleet is one of the largest screens in New England and has remained open since 1957. There is still a playground for the kids (most drive-ins removed their playgrounds years ago for liability reasons) and an early 1960's miniature golf course on the premise. While using FM to broadcast, the Wellfleet Drive-in also still has the traditional window speakers of long ago. It is open seasonally from May thru September. There is a full sit down restaurant in addition to the snack bar. And they only take cash so leave the credit cards at home.
