Argyle is the latest spy thriller directed by Matthew Vaughn fresh off his trilogy of Kingsman films. After the declining quality of those films following the 2014 original which was fantastic, anyone hoping for a return to form with Argyle will unfortunately be disappointed. The film's first hour has brisk action and an excellent cast. The cast is led by Bryce Dallas Howard, Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, John Cena, Ariana Debose and Samuel L. Jackson.
Thie film has good performances and action what really lets it down is the excessive plot twist, and overall writing of the film. It also wastes cast members like Henry Cavill in more minor roles and miscast others for the sake of a bad plot twist.
